Building description

CITY POINT is the first of the planned buildings designed by the renowned architect Richard Meier that has been completed under the CITY Project in Pankrác. This five-storey building is located on the Hvězdova Street and was built in less than a yearI for an investment of approximately € 15 million. The completion of the CITY POINT building was the first step in the implementation of the entire CITY Project. The construction of the archives with the technological operations of the current tenant, which is a major mobile telephone network operator, constituted a base of the new CITY POINT administrative building. Part of the building is used for technological operations. Entry and exit platforms for the underground parking areas are located under the new part of the building, which was designed as an extension of the already existing mass of the building westward and eastward. These parking areas are to be directly interconnected with the underground parking facilities of the adjacent CITY TOWER. The building is already currently fully occupied. Currant operation aproves its uniqueness and sophisticated design that allows the efficient and pleasant working environment. Hence, CITY POINT is the first project successfully implemented under the CITY Programme.

Location description

The CITY Project is located in Pankrác, which is part of the Prague 4 District. Its location provides straight and easy connection to the road system as well as to the public transport system. In addition to trams and buses, the site is above the Pankrác Station on Line C of the subway. Another line, D, is planned to be built, so that the two underground lines will intersect under the CITY Project site. This further enhances the Project’s importance.
